This site is dedicated to the memory of Rudy McCarthy.

Rudy McCarthy was born in Bombay on November 15, 1931. Rudy sadly passed away on 3rd October 2015.

Rudy was much loved by everyone around him and will be fondly remembered for his kind words of support and love to all.

Rudy was a dedicated husband to Joyce. Married 56 years, he will be greatly missed but always remembered. They spent a life time together travelling the world and meeting new people.

Rudy was a parent to four children. A loving father who was always patient, caring and supportive. His memory lives in each of his children who have been fortunate to pass his love and personality to their own.

Rudy was  grandparent to 11 and a great grandfather to 5. His memory and legacy will live within us all.

Thoughts

Over 25 years we have known Rudy And Joyce. We remember the lovely warm evenings, sitting on their patio at their lovely house in Spain at Buenavista, being offered a whiskey, brandy, wine or the accational tea or coffee. Talking, laughing and enjoying each other's company until the small hours of the morning. Happy and fun times, ones that we will cherish. Rudy you were so special. May you sleep in peace now. God Bless. Gill and John x

Thank you my Uncle Rudy and my dearest Aunty Joyce for taking me to visit the seaside at Camber Sands aged eleven years old; also with Gran-your Mum....I remember you both were so happy to see the excitement in my eyes; I treasure and will never ever forget that wonderful memory or indeed either of you. Love and Blessings. Gregory

Extract from a poem by Henry Scott Holland I am I and you are you. Whatever we were to each other, that we still are. Speak to me in the easy way which you always used. Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? Life means all that it ever meant; it is the same as it ever was. Thank you ever so much for choosing to support the work of the British Lung Foundation by creating this Breath of Life Fund online tribute in loving memory of Rudy. We hope that you find it a positive experience developing your page and that it becomes a place of comfort and inspiration for you to visit whenever you want or need to. It has been designed to be a truly lasting tribute for perpetuity for future generations to see.
